I grew up the eldest of four children in Edmonton Alberta. Until the age of 18 I had never lived in a permanent house, and would usually move at least once a year to a new home, usually one with cheaper rent. I was an evil child growing up and had little to no respect for anyone aside from my parents. This fact is one of the main reasons I got in so much trouble at school, I didn’t put up with shit from my so called superiors.

The last school grade I passed was the sixth grade, although I didn’t drop out of school I was unable to pass any grades following, even with having done the 12th grade for 3 years until the government stopped funding my schooling. I am both dyslexic and ADD so as you could probably picture me and school didn’t mix at all, especially when they refused to test me until I was 18 because they thought I was just looking for an excuse to being lazy -_-

The muscles in my right arm got messed up in a car crash, the result being that I can no longer draw, pick up, or use it in anyway without experiencing much unbearable pain. So drawing this manga is not only taking away all my free time and energy, but causing me unbearable pain as well. Not to mention my inking can be shaky at times, as my arm likes to randomly twitch at times, sometimes it’s a small spasm, sometimes it’s huge and I end up scribbling the entire page and having to draw it over again. Hopefully though working on this project will help my arm get used to working, and then these problems will not happen anymore =)

I’m my own worst critic. Don’t ask me why but I can never be satisfied with any of my drawings. I know that I can do better then what I’ve been putting out lately and any mistake no mater how small, will bug me enough to make me hate my own pictures.

Even with ADD, Dyslexia and a messed up arm that doesn’t allow me to draw without an overdose of painkillers. I still feel it’s my responsibility to finish it, after all I did start the project and I hate leaving things unfinished.

If you want, I can tell you a little about how I got my net name. Kurapika L Suki. Well Suki is the name of the first character I made for my stories, L is their because my real life initials are "KLS" anyways so then L would stand for Leanne, my middle name, and Kurapika is the first word I translated from Katakana. (If that's how you spell it again x.x) I was looking through a Japanese anime magazine and they had this, top 10 characters thing in it, and I happened to know ALL of the characters except for one. It was bugging me for a while so I decided to try and figure out his or her name. So I found a Katakana table and came up with "Kurapika" I thought the name was cool and used it from then on x.x long before I started actually watching the series Kurapika actually came from :P
